I guess Fairfax hasn’t defunded it’s police enough.
If they’d just disband the whole department I’m sure stuff like this would stop happening. |
Maybe, but nothing that the homeowner posted was left out on this post. There were also two cars stolen from driveways in another neighborhood of McLean two days ago. Cars were locked, that's not much a deterrent. They're targeting a very specific type of car, and it was done in the early morning hours--they were seen by a jogger apparently. It's pretty brazen. |
| Can someone post a news report of these events? I saw on Next Door but cannot find verified information. |
Well, the poors/criminals go where the money is….so I guess you’re sol! |
I can't tell if you're serious or just pretending to be a troll, so I won't address your god nonsense. Either way, just seek help Self defense is however a basic human right, not afforded everyone in this world. We are fortunate enough to be able to exercise that right if needed. You can steal a car or vandalize my property I don't care. But when you attempt a forced entry into my home, you've met the threshold for a response. Especially since I have no idea what your intentions are when you are kicking at my door. I'm not taking the chance that he is just popping in to take a couple pairs of sneakers or my TV. |
Locking doors to homes or cars no longer is sufficient to keep criminals from stealing them or entering them. |
There are two different incidents. Please try to keep up. |
VA has the “castle doctrine” which explicitly allows for the use of deadly force to protect self, residence and loved ones on your property. However use of deadly force must be reasonable. Guns blazing at a forcible entry as they come through the door would probably be considered reasonable, unless it was the cops executing a no-knock warrant. Then you’re screwed. |
That is exactly where we are headed. |
Unsafe as Montgomery? |
| I have stickers on my windows with a picture of a gun that says "homeowner is armed, nothing inside is worth your life." I figure if burglars are out, why not easily move on to the next house that does not obviously advertise that they will be shot |
I would never blindly discharge my firearm (shooting through the door or anything). If the intruder complied, no threatening movements or advances toward me. He would be allowed to turn around and run away or he can lay on his stomach and wait for me to call the police. I do agree about the "no knock" warrants. I don't like them even when preformed on actual criminals/fugitives. It leads to unnecessary death and injury to the occupants of the home, neighbors, also the police themselves. Whenever someone post in glee about shooting someone or wanting to, they are full of sh*t and can be dismissed as a troll. If you're a lawful gun owner, hold your self to a higher standard. |
| OMG WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING TO START MOVING OUT OF MCLEAN?! Save yourselves and your families! LOL |
|
| Did Fairfax elect a George Soros-funded DA, who would prefer not to prosecute such crimes? Gascon in LA is undergoing recall, and Loudoun has elected Biberaj who espouses similar criminal-friendly policies. |
