Back to the thread topic. What league will this club play in? NM is known for having college placements, but it certainly helps to have the machine of MYS and ECNL to enable it.... Seems different if you are trying to do it out of EDP or something. |
...But would you have a winning record like him ... |
NCSL Declined their application |
|
They have tryouts listed and then says subject to numbers for teams
So seems you tryout hoping they have enough. NUmbers for a team |
So they will have to create a national schedule and open for the Samba Boyz |
| What is NCSL? |
The league they planned on playing in. Now they don't have a league |
At least on the girls side they already have established solid teams. Most are staying intact from when they were at Herndon. Can't speak to boys side. |
Intact ? Is it a Herndon team or a Total Futbol / DMV team? What league will they play in? |
Intact as in whole teams leaving Herndon and moving to DMV FC at the end of this season to stay with their coaches and teammates. As for the NCSL denying their application rumor, it’s just a rumor. The vote will be in June. Seems Herndon trolls are hard at work desperately trying to spook players into staying with Herndon. |
Maybe. Maybe not. Either would be typical for this situation. Seen it all before. Rumors - counter-rumors. Some true. Some not. If you have a kid in this mess - it's best to try out elsewhere if you can. |
| Herndon will be just fine and no teams are not leaving as a whole this isn't LMVSC. Herndon has a history of developing the best kids in the area. |
Whole teams are indeed leaving, as much as the ED and TD try to claim otherwise. As for Herndon developing kids, there are 2 good coaches on the boys’ side and one on the girls’ side, outside TF. The boys’ side is a mess with coaching that leaves much to be desired. This is why so many talented boys leave in the older age groups. Add to that a Board that’s gone off the rails, a TD that still can’t do the job after 12 years, and an ED that has no clue about youth soccer and you’ll see many more players leaving. |
There's no comparison. And I wish these coaches good luck in starting their own business - they do a good job and deserve to benefit from it. In this case they are the heroes in my book - and the club the villain. The club was more than happy to sign them up a decade ago. They massively improved the club's performance and now the club wants to pay them less. The club will now attempt to leverage its political power to block them from starting their own club. Despite my best wishes though I expect they will fail. |
Herndon will be just as bad as LMVSC. I believe they actually brought in the LMVSC TD to be the consultant in their transition. |
