+2. We would still be waiting in DC.

Please remember this when we vote for next Mayor./

Bowser failed to put her residents first. Unless - you lived in her preferred zip code. Doesn't seem like that was a good idea, does it?

PSA: if you can, drive up to Hagerstown on a weekday morning. There’s lots of availability for walk ups there.

All DC residents are welcome. You don't have to work in MD.

After hearing nothing from DC since preregistering 5 weeks ago, I made an appointment at Hagerstown (nothing available at Greenbelt). Got my first dose last week.

DC residents age 16+ can register at any of the Maryland mass vaccination sites.

Some of them do ask if you work there, but it's a wink wink, don't tell sitch. Definitely unethical, but these are things our collective banana republic of DC is forcing us into. On the other hand, we literally have no leg to stand on in shouting "residency fraud" anymore - everyone in Maryland is welcome to do whatever legal fiction is necessary to enroll in universal pre-K3, etc. We'll just build more schools in Ward 3. Win-win!

Not sure where you’re getting your info, but this isn’t true - at least for the mass vax sites. When you make your appointment, they don’t ask where you work and I entered my DC address. When I showed up for my appointment, I had to show my DC driver’s license. Not one question about my employment. Everyone else I know who got vaccinated at one of these sites had the same experience.

Anyone 16+ can get vaccinated at these sites, regardless of where you live or work.

"Vaccine Site at Greenbelt Metro to Offer Shots to Anyone, Not Just Marylanders"
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/coronavirus/vaccine-site-at-greenbelt-metro-to-offer-shots-to-anyone-not-just-marylanders/2632407/

A new mass vaccination site opening Wednesday at the Greenbelt Metro Station in Prince George’s County will offer shots to Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., residents, officials say.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is running the clinic, so it’s not just limited to Maryland residents. Vaccines are only approved for people over 16.

Anyone seeking a vaccine there can preregister on the GoVax Maryland website or by call 1-855-MD-GoVAX. To sign up online, you must create an account and verify your email first, then you can complete the preregistration process. You’ll get contacted when it’s your turn to book a vaccination appointment.

Translation and interpretation services will be available to those whose primarily language isn’t English and who are deaf or hard of hearing, FEMA says.

The site will be able to deliver up to 3,000 shots a day, FEMA says.

Although it’s open to anyone 16 and over who wants a shot, Dr. George Askew, of Prince George's County's Health and Human Services, told News4 that county residents will be given priority.

If you don't live in Maryland, it's a good idea to preregister with your state or local health department, too, if you want a shot as soon as possible. Book the first suitable appointment offered to you, then cancel your other preregistrations.

The site is located at 5717 Greenbelt Metro Dr., Greenbelt, Maryland. It can be reached by Metro, car or several bus lines.

I was at the Salisbury site for my second shot (MD resident) and there were several DC tags in the parking lot. Still plenty of capacity in Salisbury.

If you are in DC and you are still waiting, go get the vaccine TODAY!

"Mass vaccine site today 4/21 at Bald Eagle recreation center 100 Joliet St, SE Washington DC. NO APPOINTMENTS or NO DC RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS.
Residents of wards 7 & 8 are top priority, but they will be vaccinating everyone." -- from District Vaccine Hunters FB page

FFS - please don’t steal vaccines in Wards 7-8, Bald Eagle is explicitly for these residents - beware of these conscience-less FB groups.

People who work in MD can get the vaccine. Others rationalize that they are stealing from Trump voters so it’s OK. Since DC has become a banana republic, you can’t expect its citizens not to beg, borrow, or steal.
