Actually it's just lazy and rude on the part of APS. They should absolutely know who they are expecting to attend each day - and it's BS they can't tailor their list. Why should OP have to silence her phone, just because APS doesn't want to use a freaking filter. There are valid reasons - important reasons - to not silence your phone. There could be a family emergency. But APSs inability to figure out basic technology is certainly not one of them.

Answer yes to the questions every day. Eventually they will get sick of having to deal with positive answer and fix the problem

We didn’t opt in for texts and my email alert is silent/no banner. Total non issue.

WTF people - it seriously takes like 15 seconds per kid.

And YES everyone is supposed to do it whether or not kids go in to the building.

And if you have a smart phone and don’t know how to turn your ringer off then I just don’t have words.

After staying at home for a YEAR this is really not a hardship.

Some schools have waitlists or may end up letting kids switch models. Sending it to everyone every day ensures that central office isn’t constantly adding and deleting students from the distribution list.

Yeah, my older son's private only has you do it the days you are going to be on campus.

And he's been hybrid since October 1st and school has had zero issues with spread. He sat out one 14-day cycle when a kid in his 6-person class tested positive. Nobody else got it---but for safety they had everyone that was in 'close contact' with him stay home for 14-days.

Podunk old Loudoun where I live has managed to distinguish not only hybrid from DL for the purposes of the symptom checker, but also WHICH DAYS my child is assinged. We only get the symptom checker our 2 days.
