PP obviously had a son (or two) rejected from STA.

I am sick of it. Go start a thread about why st "all"bans is so bad. This is whether or not Landon is the right fit for certain boys.

Mine would have done fine there but we chose STA, despite the facilities and admissions process at Landon which were way better, because of some of the same concerns that PP have mentioned. It was the culture for us.

There are nerds at Landon and STA (as well as elsewhere). There are kids drinking and doing drugs at ALL schools. There are kids shining at both schools whether in the classroom or on the playing fields.

Get over your hatred of STA and move on.

I simply cannot believe that a number of the adults on this thread are more poorly behaved than the smallest of children. I mean, really, are you proud of your behavior?

And only in the spirit of being realistic and aware, if your children get turned down by their top choices, you should really take a long, hard look at how you behave in public - these schools probably have your number.

STA and Landon are fine schools. Landon is a bit easier academically and has better fields. Both are still rigorous academically. Gonzaga is less rigorous and Prep is about like Landon. This is from boys.

Gonzaga is or can be a painful commute. The other 3 are fine schools . I would NOT send a DD to Holton precisely because of the types of behaviors exhibited towards and with these boys. .

PP, completely agree. The things I've seen at Landon --
such as large posters hung on campus just before Az. Fest
referring to the girls as "Holton Hos"
are really stunning. I couldn't believe Landon admin didn't remove those banners before carpool. Unsure if boys or girls or both made the banners. Very uncomfortable.

To clarify I did not mean Gonzaga is not a fine school. It is a more difficult location.
