I don’t think these films will be very good. 😂😂

I just didn’t think she was that great in mandorian. She seemed stiff and always looked like her outfits were too small—like she still had the armor from her 20s when she was a drop ranger and was still wearing it into her 40s. Like those women who wear their club outfits from their 20s into their 40s.

I mean, they just sort of proved her point though.

Wtf are you talking about?

Anyways blame that on the costume directors.

Cancel culture comes full circle!

This might be the incident that brings the discussion to a head: her male costar tweeted about ice detention camps being akin to nazi prison camps.

Admittedly, a different take than what she said. But, I’m curious how this plays out.

Is it ok when Dems do it for progressive causes?

It’s “consequence culture.” Sorry, but speech has consequences. So sad, too bad.

I agree.

But, do you realize her male costar seemingly did the same thing (comparison to nazis) without consequence?

I think this will force a conversation.

Why does he get a pass?

Does consequence culture only apply to dragging conservatives down?

Especially when the picture he posted was a 10-year-old photo of Palestinian kids waiting in a bread line.

+1. I am not familiar with her Twitter writings, so may be I need to look at it within the context of all her tweets (but really don’t feel like spending on it) but for this specific tweet, she’s not wrong on the general idea that dehumanizing the “other”

Lol. Yep.

Can you articulate her point? Serious question. To me, she’s implying that Republicans are being treated like the Jews were under the Nazi regime. This feels very offensive- in what way is that possibly true?

She also posted lots of stuff about election fraud and how the election was stolen, in addition to COVID hoax posts. In other words, this wasn’t her first time creating drama on social media, and Disney warned her that her tweets were a problem.

She wasn’t fired for “political” tweets, it’s not like she was posting about policies. Let’s not be naive here.

Yeah, I mean, I would have a hard time watching her act without remembering these tweets. They are enough to get anybody fired but it would also just be a bad casting decision to keep her around, IMO.

Are you kidding me? This might be the most antisemítico thing I have heard in a while. In case it needs to be spelled out, somebody losing a job is not the same thing as being part of a mass extermination. You can disagree with Lucasfilm’s decision but you cannot agree with her without being anti Semitic.

They were just looking for an excuse to fire her because she had gained a lot of weight.

She’s always been huge. Her character was meh anyway. Dye Ronda Rousey’s hair brown and throw her in the suit. Won’t even be able to tell a difference. You watch for baby Yoda. That puppet was more entertaining.

She looks like a younger, beefier, Mariska Hargatay.

That was a horrible comment. Plus, her character was fine in the first season, but had become boring in the second. Good riddance.
