Disney kept on with her while she tweeted all kinds of crazy maga stuff. I'm positive she was informed almost exactly where the line was.

NO this is not "cancel culture"

All of these people sign contracts. If they do not read them that is their fault.

Not Disney's for exercising their right to enforce the contract.

The same goes for Twitter, FB, etc.

TOS people is an actual thing.

Good. These nut jobs need serious consequences for their bad actions.

Cancel culture comes full circle!

This might be the incident that brings the discussion to a head: her male costar tweeted about ice detention camps being akin to nazi prison camps.

Admittedly, a different take than what she said. But, I’m curious how this plays out.

Is it ok when Dems do it for progressive causes?

It’s “consequence culture.” Sorry, but speech has consequences. So sad, too bad.

I agree.

But, do you realize her male costar seemingly did the same thing (comparison to nazis) without consequence?

I think this will force a conversation.

Why does he get a pass?

Does consequence culture only apply to dragging conservatives down?

I disagree the the comparisons were similar. Pedro Pascal was speaking out of children who were imprisoned in cages and where we had documented cases of abuse coming out. I do not believe that the situation at the border was equivalent to Nazi Germany but there were clear parallels. I work in immigration and we were literally instructed to use dehumanizing language to refer to immigrants on day 1.

Gina Carano implied that people being mad at conservatives for being racist was equivalent to German's selling out their Jewish neighbors to internment camps. No conservatives are being arrested unless they break laws.

Jewish advocacy groups were also making WWII comparisons to the situation at our southern border and speaking out, but are horrified by the Carano tweet. This is not a situation where the two cases are comparable simply because they both invoke Nazi Germany.

A "girl" she's 38 years old and an adult and presumably knew what she was saying. Please don't refer to her as a child, that's insulting

Because the comparison was not the same at all. Just b/c they used the same reference, Nazis, does not mean the examples they spoke out about were the same. Not even close.

It was meant to be insulting.

+1 She's an idiot, and was apparently warned. Disney has a conduct clause in every contract, which she violated. Too bad, so sad.

Right? Disney wouldn't let women wear nail polish that worked in the ESPN zones. That restrictive. How would anyone think any political views in public would work??

Nobody said they were exactly the same. But, I do recall a lot of criticism when people compared the ice detention centers to nazi camps.

If the person who is paying you a salary has vastly different political views than you and you not only work from them but are in a role where you represent them in a meaningful way than it is wise to not frequently publicize your contrasting views in very public and visible ways.

Are you going off again, cancel crybaby? Can't you just let people who do bad things accept consequences for their actions? Or is it just that you like conservatives to be able to avoid consequences?

Hopefully with Free Britney people will stop firing women while excusing men for the same behavior.
