Hey guy, there’s no plans before COVID to play inter-league. CCL is not a bad environment. And. CCL is not better for girls if ECNL and GA is available. |
CCL is a garbage farmers league. NPL and EDP are light years ahead. |
You are total wrong!!! We were scheduled to have at least one showcase. The same old "CCL is bad" guy at it again!!! |
Statements like this truly show you ignorance and you loose all creditability. One negative CCL poster does not show consciences, no matter how many times you post. |
| This anti CCL poster is like a third grader. "you are bad, we are good" is his only argument. LOL |

CCL is a fine league. It’s excellent for girls who want to make high school varsity teams. It isn’t an impediment to playing in college for the focused girl who is a strong player who has been targeting certain colleges since first year of High School (going to ID camps, sending emails to coaches, etc).
But the CCL high-level recruiting system isn’t yet as strong as the ECNL system or even the GA system for the girl who isn’t independently focused on a particular set of colleges starting at age 13. The OP seems to have realized that, as the decision to move seems to already have been made. OP, for an 05 there probably is merit in checking out all of the ECNL and GA teams that you can in the short term and to move before this spring. College coaches are going to be assessing the class of 2023 during the ECNL and GA showcases that will be staged in late April/May of this year, after the current dead period ends, because Division 1 coaches can begin to contact class of 2023 players on June 15th. If your DD really does want to play at a high level D1 school, she needs to get on the coach’s radar this April/May so that she is on that coach’s list of players contacted in June. If she is not on that list, she will be fighting an uphill battle to try to snag a recruiting spot. Before the trolls come out, this is for HIGH LEVEL D1 schools, not for the D1 schools ranked below 70 on the NCAA D1 rankings chart or for D2/D3. Best of luck to you and your DD. Recruiting is a slog but really rewarding if it pans out for your child. |
I agree 100% I am just saying you can get to high level D1 in the CCL, Our club has sent players to UVA, Va Tech, JMU, Liberty, VCU & Radford in the last 3 years. |
| I think I saw recently that a few CCL players were drafted in the MLS superdraft. Even the number 1 pick. |
Finally some hard facts!!! Hard for the CCL haters to argue against that fact |
| Thomas Tuchel has been appointed as the new Chelsea Head Coach. He moves to Stamford Bridge following a two-and-a-half year spell at French champions Paris Saint-Germain, which came to an end last month.T |
|
Only argument? Yeah no kidding. That’s the entire premise:
If you are a serious soccer player, and a girl, ECNL or GA should be where you play during your high school years. I like you keep trying to drop “girl” from “CCL is subpar” |

This thread is about 2005 girls. Let’s look at DC Urban area CCL 2005 standings:
Beach - not NOVA Legacy - not NOVA Richmond - not NOVA Herndon - 4th place and a lot of goals scored Skyline - not NOVA SYA - 6th place and respectable record, although this is rare in their club From there it drops off. LMVSC, SYC, Alexandria, NVSC, Loudoun, Stoddert, Arlington, and there’s no Fredericksburg team. |
Top three of CCL for 2005 girls has no NOVA teams. The only respectable looking girls side in CCL is Herndon. Prolly Loudoun and Arlington too but that’s because their CCL teams are feeders into their ECNL and GA teams. |
What club is that? |
Not for girls. Zero chance in... |
