| My DD plays in CCL for good not great team. She would like to play high level college soccer but I don't believe our club has ever produced a player who has played at that level. What does DD need to do to draw attention from college coaches? We have the CCL Showcase this weekend I don't know trust the list since there are DI coaches included but I understand that DI coaches have a Dark Period. |
We’re in the same situation. First: change clubs. Be better for you to train full-time with BRYC, Arlington, VDA, McLean, or Loudoun and not play these games instead of training and playing for a poor team. It is your DD, so do not worry about anything else. Second: ID days are prime way to be seen by college coach, but 2005 is just entering the recruiting picture. |
| No your not allowed to change clubs until after the season |
Simply not true. |
+1 you can change clubs mid season |
No, that is false. It is against the rules to move clubs. Look it up. |
| Can we just leave my club for another and not play? There’s only a few games left anyways. Rather have DD in a proper environment, not this glorified house league stuff. |
Do what you want, it’s your money... |
Technically yes |
| Division 1 players very rarely come from CCL teams. Go tryout for a GA or Ecnl team. |
Reach out to club, coach, or register on their site? |
Email a club coach |
|
E-mail the club coach as stated. Other PPs are technically correct, a ENCL player cannot switch teams to another ECNL club mid-season, but since your DD is a CCL, they can e-mail a coach and request a mid-season tryout.
If they have a slot open for the positions your DD plays, they'll likely have them attend 2-3 practices with their team and see how they perform. Hopefully your DD will get an offer letter and begin a new phase... a far better phase for recruitment's sake. Good luck! |

The D1 colleges "attending" this CCL showcase is about the fact they have shown interest in watching the game footage. They obviously cannot attend due to the dead period. Nextpro is doing the video for this CCL event.
Another tip is that your DD can e-mail a college coach on the list and let them know they are playing. Give them their game schedule, # jersey, position, etc. This will get coaches to watch their game if interested and shows initiative. |
Yes, my club has gotten several new 05 girls in the last month - seems like another handful will be coming a neighboring club. The only issue is if you’re leaving a CCL club for another CCL club. That’s the only impossibility. And for the record, CCL is a joke, a scam, and a shitty subpar league. |
