Rather interesting that Limbaugh is not on the list. He was an instigator and propagator of the Dominion voting machines lies. Maybe they decided to have mercy on a man with Stage IV cancer who is likely to pass before the case comes to court? |
Mercy? No Why waste money on billable hours? |
Rush Limbaugh is on the list. And I’m sure he has an estate set up to make announcements and/or payments after he’s gone. |
Case would be dismissed upon his death. |
Would it? If they depose him now? |
why? it would be a civil case, not a criminal case. a civil case with request for damages, his estate is responsible for his debts including a possible judgment against it. |
Why? |

Very pleased. However, I am reminded once again that in America, companies have more rights than people. If Giuliani had named the individual he claims started the riot, that man could sue. And he would be tied up in court for years, mainly because the damages he can claim due to Giuliani's lies are based partly on emotional pain but mostly on loss of income. In total it is a very "affordable" damage claim and therefore Giuliani can spend less than this amount to drag it out until the man gives up. But a PAC can claim hundreds of millions of dollars in lost donations from Republican donors that Giuliani sways. Just like with the lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems, the damage total is high enough to easily cause named parties to roll over in a matter of weeks. In short, defamation against an individual is quite affordable to these politicos and the news organizations. We need to make defamation unaffordable to the wealthy. |
It's the court system and juries. |
