Can Virginia teachers use medical marijuana?

I was only drug tested when I was hired.

However, I would never ever go to work high - Just like I would never go to work drunk. I don't know any teachers who would - maybe there are some high school art teachers out there who think that's okay? What people do on their own time, at home, is up to them. Just keep it to yourself.

When did you get hired? I wasn’t subjected to a drug test. Luckily.

Why not? I think they can do it too. Besides, I had a teacher at my school who almost always came to lecture after a few puffs of marijuana. As time went on, it wasn't just the teachers who started smoking, but the students who grew up and made that decision for themselves. Everyone knew about it and accepted the situation, but I shunned it because I had been intimidated since childhood that cannabis was harmful and I was worried. Eventually my beliefs were dispelled after I tried a list of common terpenes. I think there's no shame in it, as long as you enjoy it

I went to H-B back in the day and the answer was yes, although it wasn't medical. Show up and do your job and no one cares. At this point, you could probably have roaches and stems falling out of your laptop bag and parents wouldn't gaf as long as you are willing to teach in person.

Do you put this much thought into having a glass of wine on an evening or weekend? I don’t drink or take any type of drugs but no one has ever drug tested me to be hired or keep my job as a teacher. Don’t do any of that before work and you are fine.
