Well looks like Christmas dinner is on hold, so no need for cheese and crackers.
We’ve been exposed to Covid and need to quarantine for 7-10 days.
(Shakes fist at the sky and screams) Damn you 2020!!!

You can still eat summer sausage!

Right? I mean, bummer about the quarantine and all, but you can still eat cheese and crackers and summer sausage!

Found out on Christmas Day we were negative for Covid!! But still quarantined, so just the 3 of us. So we ate Ritz crackers with summer sausage and cracker cut Colby jack. And Triscuits (in no longer available Fig and Honey flavor) with goat cheese. In fact, we were so tired, that’s what we had for dinner with some appetizers from Balducci’s. Best Christmas dinner ever!

Whatever you do, please choose crackers whose flavor doesn’t compete with or overpower the cheese. This is why I like Carr’s water biscuits—they’re basically like eating nothing, so you can really taste the cheese, just with a bit of crunch underneath it. Too many crackers have added flavor or sugar, which ruins it.

Glad you’re ok, op. We had our cheese and crackers with the Breton crackers too. I picked up a few boxes by that Dare brand. Seeds and grains and wheat crackers. We got some sweet and spicy mustard for the cheese too.

My dad and I had a discussion once. He said that Club crackers were the best. Growing up, his parents always had regular old Ritz, but when he went to his grandparents, they had Club crackers which were special, so he decided when he grew up and could buy his own crackers, he'd always get the good stuff, Club crackers. As a result, I grew up with Club crackers being the regular, everyday crackers, but when I went to my grandarents (his parents), they had Ritz crackers which were obviously special, so when I grew up, I decided to leave those plain old Club crackers behind, and get the good ones - Ritz.

This is a charming story!
