Sidney and Adelaide for b/g twins - settle our debate

Adelaide is cute, it Sidney is one of those non gender names..I don’t think a boy wants to grow up with a noN gender name

I’d look a little more. Picture the twins as 35 and trying to move ahead professionally. People won’t know what gender Sidney is, which is just irritating when setting up appointments or meetings and you don’t know have a clue who you’re looking for. He will be teased constantly in school. Adelaide has more of an elderly English aunt tone - not a strong name for a woman professional. Don’t saddle the kids with names that have some romantic connection for you, if those names will make their lives more difficult.

I think Woolloomooloo and Mullimbimby would have been a better choice.

Oh! We live on The Hill.

I hope we have twins so we can name them H and 8th. (We met on H St. and got engaged on 8th Street).

I don’t like either name. Both are ugly girl names, Adelaide reminds me of Lemonade.

No no no!

Did you end up doing something else gimmicky/matchy?

Terrible.

Adelaide is great. Sidney, although I know it is historically a male name, will be chronically misgendered. I have to agree with a pp — Adelaide and Darwin would have been a fun combo quirkiness notwithstanding.
