Do you let your kids eat all of the Halloween candy at one time? Or give it out little by little?

I let them eat whatever they wanted the first few days. They are completely done with the candy and now I get to throw it out.

We spent our childhood treat or treating together ... some were disciplined eating 1 piece of candy a day, which made their stash last for months. Some were allowed as much as that wanted. Decades later, there is no adult correlation re: discipline.

My brother was the kid who would eat one piece per day, if that, and basically forget about it. He'd still have Halloween candy in the freezer at Easter. I was the kid stuffing as much chocolate into my mouth as possible and begging to eat his candy. We're exactly the same as adults. He just doesn't have a sweet tooth, and I definitely do.

I let my kids eat as much Halloween candy as they want, but it ends up they only have a few pieces a day, if that. The novelty of having so much candy wears off quickly.

my daughter binged on a bunch of candy the night of and then we put the rest away in a cupboard and she has kind of forgotten it exists. I think we'll probably start doling it out a little at a time
