Paragon is accused of violating Maryland State Soccers recruiting policy. Experience coaches/leaders should know better.

These are "accusations" not the facts. Benfica, BSC and Achilles all commit unreported "recruiting" violations. Ask Jonathan, Pedro, Sal about reaching out to players to join their clubs. If your kid is not a "top" player, you wouldn't know. MSYSA is trying to crack down on this so let's see how this pans out.

Then report them. One of these guys took a full team from another club

Why is this such an issue? It is ultimately the player's and parents decision whether they go to new team or not. Having had plenty of experience with different teams and coaches, your player will go where they think they will get the best experience, training etc. for the fee.

And yes, all clubs sell their clubs and "recruit" players...it is a business. It's the quality and delivering on what they are selling - training, tournaments, consistent coaching and coaches behaviors abuse that SHOULD be monitored by MYSYSA. Make these clubs accountable.

True - ultimately kids need to have freedom to play where they like, but some of these players at these clubs (one in particular) has played for at least four different teams this year, which doesn’t reflect well on him or his family, or on clubs that coax him to simply guest play in tourneys, but it is what it is.

Very funny stuff from the Haters, kids do not belong to the club, if they choose to leave for a better experience and training, they can, can't fault kids and parents wanting the best training in the DMV.

The more interesting case is the pipeline and they were found guilty.

What did Pipeline do? I thought they were the best of the best!?

Having been part of Paragon for over a year, I can say this - the coaches and the training are phenomenal. Our family attends all of our son's practices and all of his games and parents are supportive and positive. A few cheer loudly but respectfully for ALL of the players. Coaches are NOTHING but professional at ALL times (during games and practices) even when enduring audible insults from opposing team coaches and parents. A new team was formed just last season with kids with varying levels of experience. What the coaches achieved as far as development and confidence in just a few short months is nothing short of impressive. Something to note (at least on our team): all rostered players get a chance to play at each and every game regardless of the score. It is fair and it is inspiring that what matters most is the development of each and every kid, not just the win. Don't take my word for it. If your son is looking for a team, go try out and see for yourself.

How did the try outs go last night? How many teams do they have at the u9-u11 level?

Lots of FALSE claims and information here.

The Paragon club is very well-coached by former D1 and MLS professional players. Paragon admin has made accommodations to meet the financial needs. As a parent of a current player that made the transition the only real issue is that they don't run the program more like a business. They are 100% player-focused, the money is a distant second. Because of the coaching and regiment of the program, the players have improved dramatically in a very short time. As proof, the team has excelled, winning a majority of their games in their first full season together.

No poaching occurred from Benfica. True, the players adored one of the Benfica coaches. However, Benfica administration was not willing to let players guest play at their age level in college showcases on other teams – despite the fact that there wasn't conflict in MSYSA or USYS guidelines. The move players decided to make had more to do with college preparation than anything. Benfica, as a program, just didnt have the experience or the understanding of US college sports to provide the guidance or preparation for players. And the program was structured to feed European leagues vs US colleges.

I don’t disagree with any of this and have no basis for doing so. I am pretty sure benfica was just waiting for the clubs who wanted guest-players to pay the right amount for the player loans. They seem to permit it for some clubs. The only logical explanation is money.
