He told them the whole team was going and no team would be left for them to play on if they stayed with Benfica. He really poached the entire team. Very disruptive to the players. Not a good move. Don't think I would trust this club.

How is disruptive to the players?

They stole many players and the coach in the middle of the year. Left many kids without a team to play on. It was very disruptive!

Ahhhh this explains Benfica 03’s strong performance in the Labor Day tourney and relative downturn in the EDP since then...

I’ve seen my son grow exponentially since joining. It *is a newer, smaller club and that’s probably not for everyone. The other visible difference is that the players are extremely committed. There’s no one there because their parents want them to be soccer players (and ppl are starting to see that commitment on the field).

Any idea how to contact and get a response from them? I've written them a couple of different ways (including to the email address posted earlier in the thread) to find out more about the club (their website has nothing on it) and how to schedule a tryout but get nothing back, just crickets.

Heard there are a lot of unhappy parents. They may have many openings for the fall. Maybe you will get a response soon.

Paragon is accused of violating Maryland State Soccers recruiting policy. Experience coaches/leaders should know better.

I think you are simply making them more attractive to people in the absence of a better explanation of what they did.

Very funny stuff from the Haters, kids do not belong to the club, if they choose to leave for a better experience and training, they can, can't fault kids and parents wanting the best training in the DMV.

The more interesting case is the pipeline and they were found guilty.

Does anyone else get the feeling that "HATERS" poster might be the person another poster described as . . . ."Parents crazy! Yelling at refs nonstop, kids on the other team ( 10, 11 year olds), taking off their masks to do it.. . . no need for the insanity." I'm thinking they're the same. It would fit.

Really just a round-about way of saying the "haters" poster sounds insane.
