Madlax Monument Team

some of you are just completely infatuated with trying to bring down Mad Lax.

Get over it because it doesn't seem to be working.

Their college placement is 2nd to nobody

You heard it here first, Madlax is going to become just a youth program ending around 6th grade in the coming years. If you look at the track record, the 22s will actually be the last MadLax team. Their 23s were terrible so Cabell had to cut a deal with Club Blue to become the DC Dogs. Their 24s are now almost non-existent because of the mass exodus and 25s are on the same track losing guys to all the other area clubs. Their 26s will be hit very hard come spring/summer when those kids all leave for one/all of the BlackOps teams. Let's applaud the families for finally realizing that MadLax is a cancer to our game and the kids and they will all get better elsewhere in the coming years.

I think you need to take some xanax, its a Monday morning and Christmas is 4 days away.

You are freaking out about middle school club lacrosse, take a deep sigh of fresh air.

I'm assuming there will be many kids trying out for Monument in February since it looks like many kids were rejected from the Black Ops Team.

I know of a kid who has made both Black Ops and Monument teams. Deciding now which he will do. Has friends on both, so not sure which way it will go. I am hoping for Black Ops.

How many spots still need to be filled?

It says upthread they took 20 so that means they have 5 slots for the call backs.

Easy decision if you are talking U13. Madlax wont make it through the qualifiers so Black Ops is his best chance to get to the tournament in July.

Do you think the 27’s will be ok?

It's too early to tell which team will be stronger, because the biggest impact players are holding offers from both teams and will get pressure from both between now and February. And while some kids may gravitate toward the team with the better odds of advancing, others will go where they are higher on the depth chart. Personally I would lean toward the latter.

In the end, the talent will probably be split evenly between the two teams.

Not sure how a kid could have an invite to both. Madlax only gave 24 hrs to give a yes or no and $1300 was required upfront.

The 27's are really good but are starting to see the affects of how they handled the fall. 3 families have already left and a few have sent out inquiries to other clubs. I will speculate most, if not all, of the blc players plus a few more, will head back to maryland.

They can't because kids aren't holding 2 team invites, at least at the 13u level. There were about 3-4 madlax helmets at tryouts and none warranted an invite.

I guess you could have plunked down money and went to Blackops tryout and received another invite.
