Not impressed with CT beaches

Anonymous
I grew up in Riverside and we spent many, many summer (and winter) days at Tod's Point Park or the shore at the Riverside Yacht Club. The beaches are gorgeous. Not like FL beaches of course but it was perfect for a summer day in the sun and great for the little ones to splash around in.

Many, many people took "real" beach vacations and went to Cape Cod or Nantucket. It's just different.

Is this what MA beaches are like too? I'm not sure why everyone on this board falls all over themselves to compliment northern beaches over southern, which tend to have the white sand and clear water.

The CT beaches aren't impressed with you, OP, trust me.

You are so annoying. Get a free house and complain and moan about how they aren't up to your standards. You can't compare Connecticut beaches with NC beaches or Delaware beaches or New Jersey beaches. I'm sure someone from Hawaii wouldn't be impressed with your "beaches"
either.

Just enjoy your free vacation!

No kidding. That was my first thought. If OP is too stupid to appreciate a free beach house, I would be glad to enjoy it for her!

Not all Northeast beaches are rocky , or whatever -don't be so ignorant. Your trolling is offensive and deliberately insulting. Congratulations. You have confirmed the southerner stereotype.

OP, what people like about the Northeast, in general, is that each beach (and city, for that matter) is DIFFERENT. If you like the same OBX NC beaches over and over, that is your prerogative. But don't come here and complain about what someone was good enough to GIVE you. You are insufferable.

That, and some people don't understand why people in their right mind would go south during summer. It is not that difficult to understand - you are just difficult, OP.

CCCL is in the house.

CCOBX lady in the house. Starting yet another troll thread. Did it occur to you that people (GASP) grew up differently than you, enjoyed it, miss it, and that it is actually not a personal affront?

If you don't know any better, that is no one's fault fault but your own. Try not to be so pathetic.

To YOU. I grew up going "down the shore" If you don't like it than please stay away. I have many fond memories of spending time there!

Please don't convince people to come to NJ. I'm enjoying LBI far too much.

NJ beaches are the best, and anyone who says otherwise has not been. Does that make me CNJB (Crazy New Jersey Byotch) - because OBX be nasty.

The main problem with your response is that you think Cape Code and nantucket are "real" beaches.

Meh. PotAto, potahto. Salt water and sand and good people is all you really need - not the nasty byotches who troll, or try to stir the pot with the same lame-o posts over again (about places they haven't been).

Summer is about a bucket of Tharashers, bucket of Rolling Rocks and all you can eat fried shrimps. Life's good...git some.

Nope. I’ve never been to OBX or Cape Cod, though I’m sure I’d like them both, since all beaches are pretty great IMO. I’m just someone who finds your posts to be amazingly nutty.

I grew up on Sasco Beach in Fairfield. I went to OC once...no interest in ever returning.

My parents live 5 minutes from Lake Quassapaug. We grew up going to rides at Quassy and the small beach there, and still love it for our little kids.

Otherwise, you don’t go to CT for the beaches. You go for antiques. Or the beautiful fall weather. And a good grinder. Or Pepe’s pizza in New Haven, or good pizza virtually anywhere.
