I thought for sure that I would name my son, Colton. Daughters would be Justina or Cayleigh.
I ended up with 3 boys and no Coltons, thank goodness!

As a child, I loved the names Kristin, Kristina and Timothy.

My mother, never one to miss an opportunity to dash her daughter's dreams, told me Jewish people don't use those names.

I still love Kristin and Timothy, though my adoration for Kristina has waned.

Same! I have always loved the name India and thought it seemed so southern and lovely. Yeah no I wouldn't name a kid that.

In ES, I was in love with a boy named Eric. Wanted twins named Eric & Erica.

Years later, I wound up naming a daughter Erica. Her daddy’s name is NOT Eric. It was not added to the list until just a few days before she arrived because we weren’t in love with our runner up name. Our first choice name just didn’t work when we saw her, though.

I thought I would name my kids Anabel and Oliver. I did not name any of my kids those names, although I still think they’re quite nice.

In elem school, one of my friends had an older sister named Michaela, and she sometimes went by Kayla. I thought it was the prettiest name in the world! By the time I grew up, Mikayla was a thing, and I had moved on. I still think Michaela/Kayla sounds pretty, though!

I also wanted twins named Jimmy and Timmy, but some dreams gotta die.

Around 11-12 I thought I would name my daughters Cadence and Cadenza. Because I loved music sooo much. Wtf, they’re basically the same name!! And both are terrible.

I read a YA book series and the main character dreamed of naming her twin girls Denim and Lace, and I thought those were super cute names.

When I was very little I very earnestly promised my dad I would name my daughter Walterina, after him.

I used to really love Charlotte but now it’s so popular.
