A name you thought you LOVED and now you can't believe you ever liked it

Caden. Absolutely loved this name when I first heard it fifteen to twenty years ago. Fortunately we didn’t have a son until 6 years ago and his name is something totally different.

It is just fluffy and I think it’ll look bad on a resume. It doesn’t suit her personality and the person I named her after is now a conspiracy theorist.

Luckily she’s a teen and doesn’t seem to mind it. And I’m certainly not going to tell her.

Oh! Forgot to mention the name: Summer.

I love it too, OP! And I tend to like miss traditional names.

Aw thank you guys! It genuinely makes me feel better. I guess I don’t hate the name, just would have for sure gone for something different now.

I think it is sweet. She could go by Sunny too.

Kimberly. I desperately wanted that to be my name when I was little, and I named all my dolls Kim.

Maggie. I still really love it but it was too similar to my DH's ex-girlfriend's name.

And when I was very young I liked what I think of as "ballerina names" -- Tatiana, Isabella, Alexandria. I still think these are pretty but when it came time to name my own daughter they just felt like too much (or too Russian?). Though my DD does love ballet, so...

If you had named your kids those names, you would still love them.
