| Looking down at a computer is not flattering. |
right?! I've always eye rolled hard at all the 'I'm aging amazingly" "I don't need makeup I am so naturally gorgeous" which almost every woman on here insists. LOL. |
this is me too. My kid's teacher told me I looked great the other day LOL |
| I look good on mirror and my camera but in zoom hell nah! |
| Put a ring light on. They are fantastic! |
+1. I bought a ring light and it gets rid of the shadows. A must have! |
| Softer, rounder faces look terrible on video and in photos. |
| I look fat no matter the angle. Because I am fat. |
| It's your lighting. Google how to do flattering lighting for photos. If it doesn't help, dim the lights and put cheese cloth over the camera to 'soften' your ugliness. |
| A dab of Vaseline on the camera helps. |

I'm the OP of the "omg I love juvederm" post. My place finally started doing fillers again (they stopped doing fillers around or on the mouth bc covid) so I went in a couple days ago for it. And suddenly I look much better on camera! Cameras emphasize lines because they provide a one dimensional image of your face.
Prior to being able to get juvederm, I tried to add depth and dimension to my face by contouring. It helps, every little bit helps on camera. |
My sharp, thin face also looks terrible on Zoom! I think that most people look pretty bad on video calls because of no makeup / poor lighting. There is a reason entertainers have glam squads. |
Haha I have a longer face and pronounced cheekbones/jawline and people who have seen me on Zoom that finally meet me in real life always assume I am like 5'10" tall (in real life I'm about 7 inches shorter than that!). |
Everyone here claims they could pass for 15 years younger, lol. |
