Thanks for this. Did you call or who did you email? I tried to email and got a generic response as to why they can’t offer me more than 25% back on $800 of fees I paid for my daughters. Ridiculous. I hate the assumption that all the PPA families can easily forgo 75% of the fees to “help” PPA.

I understand the desire for refunds and the case seems pretty clear-cut that you ought to be able to get a substantial portion back, if not 100 percent. (PPA says it has already incurred significant costs for the Spring season that now looks certain not to happen.)

For us, it's bad enough to miss the soccer and the frienships associated with the game. We'd hate to see the organization go down too. But everyone's financial needs are different right now -- I understand that.

Isn't it a huge national organization with tons of overhead?

If they furloughed coaches (ie. collect unemployment and stimulus kicker) OR took PPP free don't -apy-back loan, AND kept Spring fees then that is very wrong. They should do full refund if they received taxpayer stimulus.

No, it is a relatively new, local club. Not an established powerhouse like Bethesda Soccer Club.

Has anyone asked if they applied for or are getting PPP?

Anyone get a refund? Or know if they applied for PPP? They definitely will not bend at all on their refund policy.

I want to see the budget. Generally in this country we don't donate to "for profit" companies.

You can on Guidestar.

Only if it is a nonprofit. PPA is a for profit. I don't mind donating and covering expenses (like everyone's salary), but, I want some transparency in return.
