Now, you’ve learned a good lesson.

So honestly, what percentage of ex-DA players do you think will make ECNL? How much ECNL do you think will get bumped?

A few may get bumped from 1st team but still room on RL.

I’m sure plenty of NCSL kids are looking to step down to take some of those RL spots.

I like our club and hope it is successful, I have to put my daughter first though.

No, now is the time to change clubs to a bloated roster and let a new coach screw her over.

Good luck with that.

What a bad take, if I take her to another club I will ask questions and find the best fit for her.

Yeah - I'd be careful about moving if you were previously happy - things don't always work out. And girls teams tend to have strong social "dynamics". Sorry if this comes across as a stereotype - but I've had two daughters and a son play. And the politics in my daughters' teams left my head reeling sometmes; it could certainly take a little while to work out how/where to fit in.

Given that most of the teams in this new league are unchanged, my guess is that the level will remain similar, and scouts will scout the games and showcases just fine.

Obviously if you were already unhappy / thinking of moving - then the advice above doesn't apply. But if you weren't, then I'd take a little time to make the call. By all means contact other coaches to guage interest - and try out when you can. But the grass is not always greener.

Honestly, 100% of the DA players can make a ECNL team.

What a dumb question.

The question should be how many will bother trying?

Uhhh says me
I’m the one that pays the bill that Arlington Soccer sends so that decision to leave the club and take her elsewhere is mine. As previously stated that decision has been made.

If you’d like to pay her bill then maybe I’d consider letting you influence that decision until then she won’t be moving to GAL in her junior year.
Sorry if you thought the entire team will fall in line and go play in this new league. She’s not the only one

good luck navigating the politics and trying to get a starting spot on a brand new team. Should be exciting for her. What a “smart” parent.

Also Arlington 04 (starter) and planning to stay. If most of the starters stay, the girls will do fine. I’m leery of trying to break into Mclean at a recruiting age. None of the other ECNL teams are worth it for college recruiting.

Yes because following everyone to a start up league must be the smart thing to do. Just follow everyone as the decision must be made for you because you can’t possibly know what’s right for your family.

Why do you find it hard to accept that what’s right for you and your kid is not right for every kid? If you are an 04 parent you’ve likely spoken to me in the sideline but never once criticized me to my face yet behind the anonymous post you can preach about politics and being a smart parent.

Last place McLean 04 will help her recruiting but the other ECNL teams will not? Bartender...
