Won’t stay for this, dd is entering important recruiting years. Now is not the time for me to screw her over. I like our club and hope it is successful, I have to put my daughter first though.
No, now is the time to change clubs to a bloated roster and let a new coach screw her over. Good luck with that.
What a bad take, if I take her to another club I will ask questions and find the best fit for her.
Yeah - I'd be careful about moving if you were previously happy - things don't always work out. And girls teams tend to have strong social "dynamics". Sorry if this comes across as a stereotype - but I've had two daughters and a son play. And the politics in my daughters' teams left my head reeling sometmes; it could certainly take a little while to work out how/where to fit in. Given that most of the teams in this new league are unchanged, my guess is that the level will remain similar, and scouts will scout the games and showcases just fine. Obviously if you were already unhappy / thinking of moving - then the advice above doesn't apply. But if you weren't, then I'd take a little time to make the call. By all means contact other coaches to guage interest - and try out when you can. But the grass is not always greener.
