So you asked them if they wanted to social distance and they said they don’t care? |

These anti runner posts are getting tiring.
Amazing how they didn't exist before... all these new people started going outdoors. And that's fine, go outdoors. But you can't complain about others without taking a look at your own choices, too. |
I love the internet tough guys. |
| On my run today, I got dirty looks by two ladies walking 6 ft. apart. We were all in the street, but with cars parked on one side, there was no way for all three of us to have 6ft clearance. I feel like I hear Wild West music in my head every time I encounter other people on my runs these days. But seriously, people, walk/run single file or walk alone. I have a long-time running partner and I miss her dearly, but we’re running alone for now so as to avoid these awkward situations. We all have to make some adjustments. |
| No one is supposed to be on trails. Those are park land. Runners, walkers, bikers. Nunya |
| Piss off, walkers. Runners have as much right to the sidewalk as you do, at whatever pace we like. |
Enjoy my foot. |
FFS no one is telling you not to run. Just follow Federal guidelines to keep people safe. If you just ran around people none of these threads would exist. |
But you can’t argue with my math. |
I'm a dog owner, and you should be ashamed of yourself. You're forcing people to run, what, 12 feet away from you to avoid your freaking dog? Everyone needs to go single file if there is anyone passing you on either side: runners, walkers, all of us. I run, and I've seen both runners and walkers insisting on side by side. It's disgusting. I'm only going very early in the morning now to avoid people as much as possible, but it's painful how selfish so many are. |
We walk and happily go single file but most runners don’t give us time to move. |
You mean the virtue signaler pretending to care about people's health is actually a jerk? I'm shocked. SHOCKED. I THOUGHT THEY WERE SO MORAL AND CARING! |
You should be single file all the time, if you're not aware of your surroundings when people are coming up from behind. Runners aren't going 60mph. If you don't know when someone's beginning to approach, then you need to just stay single file the entire time. |
Yes, you can add 6 to 0. Congratulations. Based on your posts here, I imagine that's the highlight of your academic career. But seriously, you're not going to trip me, because I'm a 5'3" woman. But then again, you do sound like the kind of guy who would *only* trip a 5'3" woman. So who knows? The most likely scenario, of course, is that you're going to do nothing, and come back and impotently fulminate on DCUM. Maybe kick your dog. |

Runner here, went out today on the trails for 4 miles. Observations: About 95% of the people are cool- thoughtful, alert, some wearing masks or covering, walking/running/riding single file. The other 5%- Mostly couples walking side by side, perfectly aware they are being passed but still walking side by side. One group of young women walking 3 abreast. One running couple.m, side by side chatting.
People are getting better day by day about this, myself included, but some couples really seem to think they can still walk or run next to each other on crowded trails. |
