It’s irresponsible and careless to not quarantine. There is no cure, there is no government support to increase our capacity, and there is no way to test everyone to know who is and isn’t a carrier or has/hasn’t been exposed.

Oh, I forgot one part. pP on plane who killed 6 people never knows it, feels empowered to continue life as usual, and comes to brag about it and chastise others in an utter display of callous ignorance.

Those of you saying these ridiculous statistics like a 2% death rate - do you realize that is only from established cases? Correct? And there are probably hundreds of thousands if not millions of people whose symptoms were so mild they went undetected. Do you understand how that works?

Someone posted an analogy the other day. It’s like testing death rates of people diagnosed with lung cancer and then saying “100% of people will die from lung cancer!”

That's in a developed, advanced country that can provide resources for everyone. We are now a shthole nation with an administration that won't even order makes or ventilators. In other words, even as it rages in Italy, only 54K of the entire population (rounded up) is infected out 60 MILLION people.

That's 115,000,000 people. Thus 1,500,000 dead of the disease and 20,000,000 hospitalized, displacing all the other critical patients, who also die at a higher rate. It's on the order of magnitude of 2,000,000 deaths at a minimum if we don't slow it down.
