This is a very bad idea for everyone but especially bad for hospital personnel as they will definitely be exposed and bring it home to their families and some babysitter (who will then go home and spread it to their families). |
Our friends, who are in ER doctor and a nurse, are hiring a live-in nanny to stay with their kids. The parents will take extra precautions to sanitize before coming home and at some point may end up sleeping elsewhere. |
Can your mom at least move in? |
Do you think us hospitals will do what Chinese hospitals (admittedly the state can seize hotels) did and give hospital workers the option of staying w/o their family in a hotel room nearby? |
I hired DD’s teacher. |
Thankfully mine are old enough that they can be home. As I work in primary care I'll likely be home and teleworking before long. |
My spouse works in a hospital involved in critical care. I work and finally convinced my employer to let me work remotely. For now, our babysitter will come to watch the kids. My spouse plans to sleep elsewhere in the house and try to be extra careful. |
This made me cry too! you are an amazing mom! |
OMG. I am so sorry. People like you truly amaze me. Prayers for you all. |
The nanny is the one who deserves the blessing and who is making the hugec sacrifice! The parents are doing nothing. |
The parents are caring for the VICTIMS of coronavirus, dingbat! |
I am so sorry. It is a good choice. I'm so sorry. |
It isn't about money. It is about finding someone to do it. I am having my child's friend over next week so his parents can focus on their jobs. I don't know how I would go from no full time nanny to a full time nanny over a weekend during a crisis. How would they? |
Gosh, PP you are slow. Do you know how hard it is for a parent to give their young cihildren away for a month? The ER Doc PP and her ER DH are heroes! |
