What? |
I am the PP, and I am not a troll. My son had a specific school in mind that he wanted to attend (top 15) and he got in. We had the funds to let him attend his dream school and he is quite happy there. He turned down the BK as soon as possible so someone else could possibly get one. He did not go through the interview process. I did find the letter in the pile of acceptances he received, in case the doubter needs more proof.

| ^^^ congratulations! Amazing opportunity. |
LOL. You seriously kept the letter? |
Well yes, DS did, along with all the other acceptance materials, which are in a pile in his room. I don't think it's that odd, but maybe to some though. DS is a pack rate, no question. |
LOL. You're seriously an adult? |
?? What an idiotic comment! Totally irrelevant. |
| If my kid got a B-K and other acceptance(s) - plural - I would also certainly be keeping the letters as a keepsake, at least for a few years. It's only been a year people. You all sound jealous and sour. |

So are there any current 2024 parents whose child got a notice over the weekend? If so, are you in-state or OOS?
I'm holding on to a sliver of hope that not all notices have gone out yet. |
| We haven’t heard of any W school notifications. |
| In-state, Silver Spring, snail mail package arrived yesterday. The University of Maryland section of the Coalition showed invitation to Banneker Key between “Personal Information” and “Honors College.” DCC school, not Blair. |
Thanks. A letter in the mail is consistent with last years. Sounds your child didn’t check portal over weekend, right? Any selected candidates would still have been notified at the same time on Saturday night. |
It was a comment to previous LOL poster. I would have kept the letter too. |
Well, it was a dumb comment. |
