What did you see? It's a huge state.

Where in AZ? It’s a big state.

My husband is from Mesa and I find the Phoenix metro to be largely void of any redeeming qualities...but I have a hard time understanding anyone going to the Grand Canyon and hating it.

Mexico for sure. Ugh so much to dislike. Water/crime

Vegas-it’s the made it city for small towns
Bahamas-I just can’t. What’s so different than any other coastal town? Yes it’s an island but really it’s just outer banks on a resort.

Mexico (especially Cancun, Rivera Maya, Playa Del Carmen, might consider other areas), Las Vegas, OBX (used to go but find it boring with young kids), Ocean City

Dubai
Fake place, horrible oppressive government.

New Jersey/ Long Island
India- I have always been interested in going, but many coworkers from India have said I am too sensitive/ will not have any fun due to overwhelming poverty.
Israel, not that I know anyone who has gone there for vacation who was not visiting family
South America- stray dogs/ big spiders. No way.
China/ Japan/ Hong Kong/ Singapore/ Korea

I’m South American and I can understand why someone wouldn’t want to visit (personal safety/crime) but dogs and big spiders? That’s news to me.

STRAY dogs. I get very upset by homeless animals. I would spend my whole visit trying to find them homes, and that is not a vacation. And the spiders- I am scared of anything bigger than a dime.

I'm open to going most places, but I'd never go on a cruise.

You do realize the Bahamas are not a single island, don’t you? Oh, who am I kidding? You probably don’t.

You haven't researched Iceland.

Yup - though it is definitely not warm (yet).

Why mot Japan?

Not the PP - while I'd like to go there I've heard it's a tough nut to crack. Almost impenetrable language barrier and hard to cross paths with any locals in any meaningful way and apparently there is almost nothing of historical value in any of their large cities.

But Tokyo is supposedly pretty mesmerizing.
