If you had sex in high school...

I was 14, with my first "serious" boyfriend. We stayed together for close to a year after that. I think it was a little young, but I don't regret it because we stayed close friends for many years. The second guy was when I was 16. We got married after college and will celebrate our 20th anniversary soon. I was a very wild teenager/ young adult, but not when it came to trying out different relationships.

Are you talking about actually having sex IN the high school? Because I don't want to talk about it, that is all behind me now!

I guess I’m one of the few who regrets it. I regret who I had sex with, how young I was, and basically all of the relevant details.

I regret it ... 1/2 my friends got pregnant and had abortions

We had no sex education.

We did it for an adventure/fun instead of doing as part of a caring relationship.

Lots of STDs too.

I’m okay with my kids having sex at 17 but my kids know a lot more than I did. I wish they would wait until college though.

I’m pissed that my conservative, Catholic mother made me so scared of mental and moral consequences of having sex. I wonder if she set me up because I was outgoing and friendly, things she is not, and thought I would be some heathen if left to my own devices?

Don’t f-up your children, church ladies!

HaHaHa

Perfect wording!

Made my day!

I waited to have sex until I got married. I deeply regret that. (I was 29) But at the same time, while I have zero judgement for anyone else and whatever and whenever they decide to do with their own body, I personally think high school would have been too young for me to have sex. To each their own though.

This is bc people glamorize it and push their young teens to have sex. It’s disgusting.

No one is pushing their teens to have sex, idiot.

No regrets. Thankfully I had comprehensive sex ed. I remember laughing at the abstinence commercials that were on when I was a teen.

I’m thankful as I was able to learn what I liked, what I didn’t and get experience before meeting my partner...

Wrong.

Teen sex has been going on forever.

Get off your high horse.

This is what is wrong with our society.

I’m surprised by all the “no regrets, I had so much fun!” replies.

I was sexually active and don’t regret it either but I wouldn’t describe any more f the sex I was having back then as “good” or “fun.” It (PiV) hurt for a long time (months) and then it was just kind of “meh” until my twenties. I would rather have done the other stuff. I couldn’t come through PiV alone until well into my twenties.

Teen boys are usually not that great at sex ime.

So theme of this thread:

Comprehensive sex ed and access to birth control-=no regrets

Abstinence only ed= pregnancy, STIs, or regrets for waiting.

What are you talking about? Why would anyone push young teens to have sex? I have never heard of this and I know a lot of parents, all kinds of parents.
