OP - Care is mighty strong. I said I felt a sting. Not that I was writhing in bed drinking tequila shots with tears soaking my pillow. I just found out today. Nearly impossible not to feel a thing about it at all. Unless, that is, you're a non-feeling person.

Agree, OP. Your care is a reflection of you being a compassionate person. You’re human.

But eff him.

OP - That part!!!

OP - You do know that I realize all of this, right?

OF COURSE, these PPs are just pretending they wouldn't care in your shoes. OF COURSE THEY WOULD. Anyone would. I already posted, but indulge in the feeling -- it's perfectly justified -- then move on. Don't let these people continue to bother you.

If OP were a guy complaining that his ex wife spent "his" money you all would be all over him. Funny how that works on DCUM.

We don't, because you just posted about feeling terrible about it. You could have just told is your ex is engaged to someone else after just 8 months. Sorry about that. Your best revenge is to live life fully.

Well, yes, I do feel terrible about handing my ex money and him running to a jewelry store to buy his mistress an engagement ring, you know, with the money I just handed him. Eight months later.

You didn’t hand him the money, it’s the money he was entitled to in the divorce.

No shit Sherlock. I'm sure she understands that.

No we wouldn’t. SAHM’s live off another persons earnings and it sucks if she buys her liver stuff with his money.

Well, remember that typed in the url: dcurbanmom.com. Dads was probably tossed in for fairness. So on a platform that probably has mostly women, you're going to see women being supportive of...hold onto to your hat - WOMEN.

OP - Don't know and don't care. But I was told that he used money from his divorce settlement. He may have tossed in a dime of his own.

She came to DCUM to get sympathy. And commiserate. Y’all are insensitive to not address her feelings and state the obvious around the legality and right anyone has on how they use money.

OP - remember this.

He gave this woman a symbol of his undying love and commitment, and paid for it, by breaking exactly that. It’s like dirty blood/cheating money. How do you think this will end?

OP,

Just rest assured knowing he is an idiot, and you are free od one less idiot in your life.

Clearly he has bad decision making.
