Sleepover in outdoor tent

I’m doing this l, basically under conditions described, with a 5 yo this summer. I’m slightly concerned we will be targeted by a serial killer but life is short either way.

Yeah, you have a death wish, but it’s no safer at a campground. Those places are murder central.

Let me get this straight, just so I can name the fear properly: People upthread think there are predators who want to hurt or kill children whom they don’t know (really rare) and that those people prowl neighborhoods at night on the regular looking for poorly secured homes. Somehow a backyard tent party would be so obvious as to attract on of these predators. Did I get all that right?

You’re insane. Even a horror movie writer would not find this believable.

I think this post was meant for the classism thread.

It was a joke about serial killers and rich people go camping, too. Unclench.

I'd let them but would tell them there is no shame in coming inside if weather gets bad or lots of bugs. Also, I would stay up and sneak peeks at them to be sure all is well.
