Sleepover in outdoor tent

If I knew the family well I'd have no problem with this. Probably be a little more concerned if it was a family I didn't know.

Now I could never host that. My anxiety would be too high. Id be out there sleeping with them.

I wouldn’t mind with a fenced in backyard. We used to sleep on an open trampoline outside at my friend’s house when I was little with no fence.

adults could sleep outside of the tent. Sounds fine to me.

+1 An adult needs to be out there with them.

+1.

Agreed.

In the backyard? Yes, absolutely. No, an adult does not need to be out there with them.

We do this every year. Do not put an adult out there with them. You can sleep on the couch with the window open if you have to. Talk to them about how noise carries at night and that they have to be whisper quiet after 10 or they are coming inside.

I’d be totally fine with this.

Totally fine without adult outside.

Me too! And I thought I was the only one! I think I was a bit older though, maybe 12/13.

I would so want to be ok with this. But i wouldn't let my kid do it without a oarent out there. I hate that im so paranoid.

With a family I knew and trusted, totally fine.

I would be fine with this as long as the kids are in a fenced in yard. My kids have done this with their friends several times. About 50% of the time they end up coming inside to sleep for one reason or another anyway... hot, uncomfortable, somebody gets scared, etc.

The yard is fenced in. Get a grip!

For the people saying no, what’s the concern in the fenced in back yard?

This sounds fun in October, but muggy buggy and disgusting right now
