Exactly. This never ends well for the police. Are these people trespassing? Can you find anyone who wants to pursue trespassing? I.e. an agent of the condo? If the answer is no to any of these, drive off. |
OK, here's what I got from the post: * in high school the caller had a lot of friends who were POC * from the caller's current social media it appears that the caller still has lots of friends who are POC * the caller didn't have great communication skills in high school, so PP is speculating that maybe her approach to the people having the pool party wasn't 100% friendly and that it could have escalated the situation Where is the dig about her and her friends in high school? I don't see it? |
Do you know what POC means? POC = people of color. Does the post make more sense to you now? |
| I am sorry but even if the caller was completely right - why not just take pictures/video - or have the lifeguard verify the number of guests and take it up with the condo board later. Why would you ever het the police involved????? In the video the party hosts seemed very respectful and handled the situation as best they could although you could tell the interactions were stressing them out. In the comments to the FB post it said her friend was not cited for any HOA violation after the fact - if that’s correct I feel bad their party was ruined by this busy body. |
NP - but I don't see why this is an act of racism. |
That’s the entire point. |
That’s way too many guests. At our HOA it’s a 1:1 ratio. So a member family of 4 can only bring 4 guests at any time (and there is a nominal fee per guest.) |
| If you listen to the video its unclear if those hosting the party even lived there. They didn't have the bylaws which is odd as you'd get them when you purchase or should have easy access. |
Why would you have a copy in your when you’re trying to cook and serve hamburgers to your guests? You just keep yours with you at all times like a drivers license? |
Edited to fix typos. |
Of course you call the police in a case like this. |
DP here. No of course not. But our HOA sends out multiple email reminders throughout the summer of the pools rules and people still act like they haven’t read them/don’t care. (Hello, no music without headphones! I have to tell someone this every damn time I go to the pool. And they all act confused like they have no idea why this would be a rule.) |
They should have it in their condo. The police officers asked for it, they declined to produce it so the officers said they'd wait to get it from a property manager as soon as they get there. I would keep it in my paperwork. I would also know and follow the rules. |
They don’t have the burden of proof the complainant does. |
Why? |
