Long colorful ethnic fashion earrings. Prefer silver, oxidized metal, terracotta, stones, glass, tribal, cloth ones. I will wear it with jeans and do not care if it is a bit over the top!

I do, however, have to say I have a cozy ear flap hat that I adore. While it may not be Texas style, it helps me deal with the extreme (to me) DC cold.

Oh definitely. Like with the TX posters, I assume when I picture their blinged out jeans, they are probably Miss Mes and the women are heavier than is the norm in the DMV. My sisters and SILs live in Austin/Houston/Dallas and the average woman tends to be significantly heavier than here.

Every time I go to Texas I’m blown away by how “done” the women are. I’ve been on overnight flights that have landed in Dallas at 6am and the women in the airport have full makeup, perfect blowouts, perfectly coordinated and accessorized outfits, and I’m just thinking “what time did you have to wake up at to be through security looking like that at 6?” It’s impressive. I don’t consider myself a slob or low-maintenance even, but that’s a whole other level of dedication.
