Poolesville has Black Mold that is visible outside the building. MCPS will paint over it to hide the problem. Can we call some federal agency to audit how safe the building is? A lot of people have been drawing attention to the state of the building to authorities, leaders etc for a LONG TIME at all possible venues, so people are aware of the problems. They just don't give a fu*ck. How can we get WaPo and other news media to come and check out this school? |
| The town I grew up in has two HS. One was built in the 50's and the other even earlier. They have both been renovated and added to over the years obviously but the buildings are the same. Same with the other school buildings. I can recall one ES that was town down. Why does MCPS seem to need to tear down and start over so often. |
| Gaithersburg and Wheaton both look awfully nice from the exterior .... |
Don’t be silly. They don’t go east of *Connecticut*. |
Start social media pages on it. Post videos and photos. Get a lot of follows. Hashtag administration and get followers to send to news outlets. |
Wheaton looks very nice. |
| Wheaton. And DS is going there next year. Woo hoo! |
| Gaithersburg. It’s gorgeous. |
Interior too - in the summer!
|
| WJ is a dump. |
l And Damascus had major additions in the mid-90s as well. I was a student there and the dust from construction caused almost daily fire alarms. |
Nobody’s offering. Why would we want your kid to come here? |
I hope the parents, teachers, students are looking at doing this. I wish some students would lead this effort and become the voice for change. (Remember David Hoggs?). |
Gaithersburg also looks great from the inside. They did a really good job with the new building. |
+1. I like the classic look of BCC. When I think of a typical American high school building, I think of BCC's main building. |
