Which high school in MoCo has nicest/newest building?

Wootton is a palace, thankfully, for our brilliant kids.

Its a beautiful building but 10+ years old (not old for a school but not new) and over crowded

Is the oldest, most unrenovated Northwood?

Will be renovated in 2024. Don't know if it's the oldest

According to the CIP, Damascus, Magruder, Poolesville, and Wootton haven't had a rebuild or revitalization since the '70s.

You can also reach out to your interested school’s PTA to see if they have been bombarding the council with emails about their renovation plans.

Is that a joke? The school is overcrowded, has trailers, has repurposed auditoriums used for classrooms, and hasn’t been renovated for years. It’s slated for renovation but certainly doesn’t fall into the nicest/newest category now.

Thank you! I had to reread the question bc I was confused why someone would answer WW. I hope they aren’t a product of an MCPS education smh.

DD say Wootton is much better than any other schools she has been to.

Paint Branch is lovely and per a study in the Wash Post has the highest teacher morale in the County this year. But its in the Eastern part of the County so all you that need GS scores of 9 and up won't care about that.

Magruder had a major renovation done in the mid 1990s.

You're kidding, right? HVAC is shot, pipes leaking all over the place, bathrooms are an absolute disaster...It's been on the list for capital improvements for a decade, but it just keeps getting pushed.
