Complainers, why do you come to a negative thread and complain that it's negative and mean?

Boy names for girls

Ziggy and Archie. It is pathetic watching all the wanna be hipsters rushing to these two names now.

Anything with a Kreative spelling. Or when people use a traditional spelling and insist that everyone pronounces it wrong.

Interestingly I agree with most of your list except for Caleb which doesn’t fit in. It’s a biblical name but the others are trendy. I used to hate it and think it was trendy also. I realize it’s biblical and somewhat unusual but still masculine. I have girls but would totally choose it for a boy.

Ok, I’ll give you Caleb and admit to that one being because of a negative association with a Caleb from junior high school.

I was watching Call the Midwife tonight and one of the babies was named Agnes. That may be my least favorite name, followed by Enid.

My dad begged and begged my mom for me to be Hester. Like Hester Prynn in Scarlet Letter. He thought it was the most beautiful name ever.

.... Thank god she won that argument

+1,000,000. Watch how many idiots name their sons Archie and Ziggy now since The royal baby and the show is back on the air. Sheep.

Old man sounding names people think are sooo distinguished and cool. Henry and Jack come to mind. SO. MANY. JACKS.

Guys’ names that end in -son. Please stop.

I actually like 80’s names for girls. Kim, Jessica, Jennifer, Ashley. I’m tired of the “beautiful actress” type names everyone picks these days—Ava, Olivia, Bella. Blech.

I have a Henry but we didn’t choose it because we thought it was distinguished or cool. We just liked the way the name sounded and (I know everyone says this) but we truly had no idea how popular it was. Sometimes people just pick names they like sound of but in our case we should’ve done some name research too. If we’d known how common Henry was we wouldn’t have picked it.

I like 80s names too. Lauren, Jenny, Sarah.

The names I dislike are (for boys) generally names ending in -son, -den/-don, -ton and for some reason I can’t stand the names Gabriel or Isaac. For girls I don’t pike the long, frilly princess-y names: Isabella, Angelina, Sophia, Gabriella, Alexandra.

I think names like Henry and Jack sound more country, salt of the earth than distinguished or cool.

Just like some of the pp's my name is on OP's list. OP, sorry you don't like any names that were popular in the 80s. We probably don't like you either.

I really dislike names that end in -th for some reason.

Blyth
Meredith
Gwyneth
Elizabeth
Edith

Keith
Kenneth

Also Harper and Piper sound so harsh.
