No, they pull from Nadir's Total Futbol for the highest level teams in many cases. They are good. Clyde is good, but there are better places to develop. All depends on the coach and team.

Partially true. But it is VERY coach dependent. McLean is very good at bringing in girls at the U15-U18 levels and bouncing McLean developed girls.

Isn't every club? I have had kids at a number of the top clubs and they're all like this. There is no loyalty anywhere. I've actually found McLean to be better than others.

In general the statement can be made, but some clubs, like FCV, have top coaches for every top team (2nd and 3rd teams are not so luckly in most cases).

I will agree there is absolutely very little loyalty. If a better player comes in, someone is getting cut. But IMO that is how it should be. These kids are going to get EVERYTHING they want in life. First choice of college, boyfriend/girlfriend, job...they have to learn to deal with this. Unfortunately, not everyone can compete at the DA and in some cases ECNL (although quality is terrible in this region) and will get cut.

Sure they do. Parents write down the tryout #s on their smart phones during tryouts, and then figure out rosters which McLean publishes on their website (by tryout #). No big deal.

well, in this case I think it is actually warranted and not just the club being mean. There are a number of current players who aren't ECNL level players and maybe never will be.
Whether or not the new players will be any better is the question.

Right when the team is starting to peak too. 6 total goals so far this year, that's already double the total scored last year!

Oct 27 and 28th in North Carolina
Jan 5th and 6th Orlando area
Feb 10th in Richmond
Feb 16, 17, 18th Showcase in Texas.

Which are regular season and which are SHOWCASES? You don't join a SHOWCASE league to not go to SHOWCASES.

NC is a nice easy weekend trip drive. Richmond is a barely a day trip. Both are probably league games. Orlando and Texas are not regular league games.

You are also painting a very different picture when you tell someone "it's no big deal, just one weekend in North Carolina and not mention the two other weekends you are FLYING to games. Does it matter if it is a showcase or a league game when you are just as out of town?

And that is not to mention the showcase in New Jersey in the late spring as well. So, you are not being truthful when you say one weekend a season.

My daughter got into several colleges she otherwise would not have gotten into because of soccer and ECNL showcases, so trips like these were not much of a price to pay in the grand scheme of things. Plus, my spouse, daughter and I still have found memories of two of the trips where we had a great time checking out a different place.
