Breakfast

Belvita crackers (240 calories)

Snack

Apple (80 calories)

Lunch

2 scrambled eggs (140 calories)

Bowl of fruit salad (unknown but it was a small bowl containing pineapple, blueberries, raspberries, black berries, and strawberries. Not that caloric as far as I’m aware)

Dinner

Turkey Sausage link (140 calories)

Corn on the Cobb (150 calories)

Snack

Greek yogurt (140 calories)

****

Is this stuff worse for you than I think?

What are you starving like that for?
You are eating junk that is very calorie heavy and leaves you always hungry.

Tinny Greek yogurt that is not only sugar loaded but also unlike other yogurts has gluten in it. Guaranteed. That makes your metabolism sluggish.
The same with crackers that have gluten and fats and all other kind of junk, corn is hormone disruptor so there is a crazy mix.

Like others said, more vegetables. Here is why:

Imagine if you pill and eat all apple - you chomp about 150 calories.
If you pill and eat all cucumber - you have ZERO sugars and starches and you only ate 45 calories and it is also mighty filling.
Whole head of cauliflower has how many call lories? Yes, you guessed it - 146 calories.

So compare two apples worth of calories with a meal made of one head of cauliflower and three gigantic cucumbers.
I am not asking you to do that but you get the idea. See how vegetables have so much filling power and can be pretty darnd

At 5'6" and 120, you are at an ideal weight. It might not be what you were before, but losing any more gets you into unhealthy territory.

And at that height and weight, you need about 1,600 calories to maintain your weight. To lose weight, and be healthy, you need 1,200-1,400 calories per day. If you go below that, you will make your body think you are starving and it will hold on to every calorie.

My Registered Dietian said the worst thing you can do is "go on a diet", make major changes to what you eat (don't eat X or only eat Y), lose the weight and go back to your regular eating habits once you've lost the weight.

Find an eating habit that you can sustain for the rest of your life.

But, for you, more importantly, i think you need to see a therapist for body issues...

This doesn’t happen, it’s just a dumb thing people say.

Skinny fat is your problem, not weight.

Work on muscle tone. Your BMI is 19 for goodness sake, losing weight is going to make you look worse, not better.

OP here. Why do you assume I am skinny fat? I work out. I just want to lose five pounds of winter weight.

What exercise do you do then?

At 5’6 120 you shouldn’t need to lose anything. Jesus.

New poster here. This is so Judgmental! Can we please block these accusations about body dysmorphia and EDs and anorexia?

It’s perfectly reasonable that a person who has just learned that they gained a few pounds over the winter would want to lose it by summer.

Oh well, I posted that OP needs to realize that she can be teen waif thin depending on her age. But, I missed her age? My dd is 5'6" and 17 and 110lbs. She is not scary skinny at all. She is muscular. So, why are you so fat OP? Is that what you want to hear? You gained 5 lbs?? The horror. Guess what, keep eating nothing and next time you eat a proper meal you will gain 2 lbs overnight. And I am one of the proponents of being relatively thin here. Age is a biatch you want to eat crackers and lose weight? Sure, increase your exercise.

No we can't BLOCK them, good grief, do you think only your opinion is correct?

The people saying OP needs to work out are correct. 120 lbs of flab will look worse than 140 lbs with a decent amount of muscle on he frame. If op looks bad at 120, she's got too high body fat and not enough muscle.

Try intermittent fasting. Cut out breakfast and or dinner.

That will also cut your calories in half.

New poster here. I read this whole thread and I honestly don’t know why y’all are giving the OP a hard time. She can easily stand to lose five pounds.

120 5’6 is pretty chubby
