Well if you’re not motivated morally then how about financially? Cheaper to lift them up home than pay for them here. Amoral scum. |
The current illegal system allows most of those countries to remain corrupted.
The border should be shut down for 30 days and see what happens. |
Would OP have posted about this woman if she were raped back in Guatemala? No, she posted about this women because it inflates and fuels this manufactured crisis. Fake outrage over a fake crisis. And let’s say this woman ends up pregnant and wants an abortion. How many MAGA types would support her choice? Fake support. |
You have an issue with corruption? Ha. Amoral scum x1 million. |
There is someone on DCUM who is obsessive about farmers and the jobs they "give". I am a Republican and all for seasonal work, fair salary, requirement that your family stay in home country and you go back yearly. Also background check and health check. That would of course require legal entry at a secure border with a visa. Cool? |
DP. We already give these countries money. Should we throw more money at them? Do they use it in a way that brings about meaningful change in their societies? It's interesting how so many people say the US should stay out of the affairs of other countries and that we cause more problems than we help, and in the next breath, say that we have an obligation to help them. |
As we've already seen, it doesn't matter how much aid is sent to these countries. They will mismanage it and their people will STILL want to come to the U.S. Look how many billions of dollars are being pledged to these countries: https://www.apnews.com/0fcda32812024680ad98676379c47233 Here's a handy dandy tool for you to see just how many billions have been sent to these countries over the past decade. And what do they have to show for it? Masses of people trying to enter the U.S. https://explorer.usaid.gov/cd/GTM |
+1 Mexico is available to absorb these immigrants. |
Names please and which country. |
Sure you can. The key is to stop them from coming here. It will take too long to fix all that is wrong there. They need to venture south instead of north. |
Helps to follow links: But instead of taking them in for processing, the agent, Esteban Manzanares, had driven them to an isolated, wooded area 16 miles outside the border city of McAllen, Tex. There he sexually assaulted the friend and viciously attacked her and her mother, twisting their necks, slashing their wrists and leaving them, finally, to bleed in the brush. Then he led the 14-year-old girl to the tree. So I guess the guy's name wasn't 'John Smith' |
Why does his name matter? |
Precisely this. |
+1 |
Because the narrative here is 'white male is more dangerous'. It's important, then to make the distinction. |
