It sounds like you're saying it's an unfortunate situation in the scheme of things, but because of the terrible circumstances in that part of the world, trying to stop or limit it into the US is not the right or moral choice. We certainly cannot provide a safe environment, stable economy, or provide hope in a big chunk of the world. So, while you can say illegal immigration is "not good," you also seem to be saying, "we must allow it."

And I appreciate your honesty, tbh, because this is what I think most Dems believe.

And democrats had the house, senate and presidency recently too.. and did nothing on e-verify or even reform because this is their favorite wedge issue. At the end of President Obama's time they did push through amnesty (via DACA) and tried to push it through for the parents of Americans too.
