Trump voters getting tax shock and regretting their votes

Republicans in Congress conned everyone to pay off their wealthy donors. Traitors.

After the tax cut --- er --- in reality, a Republican engineered, Trump signed tax increase on working people, a two years in a row (2019 and 2020) IRS filing shock across the nation, I predict there will be a clean trifecta sweep of the House, the Senate, and the White House to Democrats. The GOP as is known will cease to exist.

Somehow, they will equate their 2019 taxes with the dems taking control of the house in 2019

Could any of the “I vote my pocketbook” people actually change their damn minds?

Something tells me they will still explain it away

This is why we can’t have nice things

It’s a good thing for the GOP that tax season is in the Spring and not the Fall.

b. I tried going through the followed lists for five of these folks.

I think there's a high probability that many of these "people" are bots of some kind.

I checked the followed lists for five of the people with tweets in the article. Many of "people" seem to follow one another, and most of the ones I checked all followed @patterson2020.

This is the web account for Stephen Patterson, who seems to be a very obscure candidate for president:

https://patterson2020.us/

Here's Patterson's FEC Form 1:

Maybe they're all just Stephen Patterson voters who happened to discover each other and follow each other, but they seem very bot like.

The only tweeter I checked who doesn't follow Patterson, acknowledges that he'll be paying higher taxes but says he still supports Trump, and thinks Trump is taking the long view.

It could be that four of these "people" are part of some kind of manipulation campaign.

Those four could be.

But tax refunds are down 8% so far. So it’s real.

LOL. The stupid hurts. Did they think Trump was for the little guy?

They didn't realize $150k was the little guy. In their red-state small town they think they're a hair away from the Forbes 400.

I work in finance and it was not easy to figure it out. I don't expect others - especially blue collar and working class folks - to know how to do this. Plus, not all employers adequately publicized the change.

You realize this was by design, right? The GOP didn't want working people to realize their taxes had been raised until as late as possible. An awful lot of people don't realize that changing the withholding schedule isn't a tax cut.
