I don’t understand how even in this vile environment Acosta has not resigned yet. This story is a blockbuster and the only plausible reason Acosta let Epstein off the hook is that they had something on him.

I think Americans need to face the reality that one of the most dominant forces in US politics is a criminal syndicate that has likely been violating the law for decades. What I want to know: why wasn’t the FBI and DOJ investigating sooner? How did we get so far along to this point?

I think what's really going on here is that Acosta had Epstein wear a wire to help catch even bigger fish than Epstein.

The Trump administration (or, say, the Putin people who manage Trump) probably leaked this story to try to punish both Acosta and Epstein.

The reason the story hasn't gotten bigger is that the other papers can see that the people hyping the story are creepy people with mysterious motives.

BS. There are no “bigger fish” than someone who traffics children. All the financial crimes in the world don’t trump that. You think Acosta wouldn’t have defended himself at this point if that were the case?
