And they get a zillion of them. Public school applicants are definitely looked at more closely than the dime-a-dozen Catholic girls school applicants.

Unless she has some other hook, I think you should work on the SAT score to have the best shot at ND, BC, or Villanova. Villanova applications and admitted stats have really jumped and we've heard of a lot of strong kids from DC area Catholics who didn't get in last year. If she only took SAT once and got 1420 she can likely get higher, can't hurt to try. I agree with recs of Fairfield, Xavier, Scranton, and Fordham as great backups, and she will probably get merit aid at all of those with her current profile.
