I think it can't be Pence or Pence staffer who wrote it. If they really want Trump removed and it happens thru the 25th amendment and Pence people had their name attached to this, it would seriously undermine the legitimacy of the criticism.

By the same token, I would think very carefully if I were the NYT of publishing something like this anonymously from Pence or a Pence staffer since they personally benefit in a direct way no other appointee benefits if Trump is removed.

That was some of the most cowardly bullshit I have ever read. For one thing, Trump’s dumbass priorities are what his dumbass supporters voted for. Trying to dilute his actions is essentially an illegal coup. For another, if you feel the president cannot lead, you loudly resign en masse and say why. These jerks want us to think that they’re heroes when in reality their plan was to use Donald Trump to enact the policies they want. Now that he has proven to be batshit, they realize that working in his administration is going to be a stain on their resumes forever and so they are trying to spin it as being part of the “resistance” from within the White House.
