Could Alison’s father gonafter Joanie for her kidney or is she too young? She could be a match.

Too young...Have to be over 18 or 21

I thought the double ending was indicating that Allison had a psychotic break, but I couldn't figure it all out. They seemed to go to some trouble to have her acting like she was going crazy when she heard him knocking at the door the second time.

Because he was pounding on the door the second time, and became more insistent when she didn't answer right away. It was jarring. I think she could have been having an elaborate fantasy in part 1 but the fantasy had to have been happening concurrently with the reality of part 2, because otherwise how did she know about him killing the Afghan boy in advance like that.

Seems like the director was showing some dislike having the star of the show die like that. Season 5 figuring it all out and Ben gets blamed ? Or justice ?

That's what I think--the dual reality will turn out to be a psychotic break that Allison had before she committed suicide. I'm trying to remember how Ben acted when Noah and Cole confronted him. He didn't seem especially guilty that I recall, and he did seem like kind of a nice (ish) guy. I guess the tale will be told when we see it from Ben's perspective.

PP here. I'm thinking the fantasy was part 2, and the reality was part 1. Or some mixture of both. Was been surprised to hear of her suicide?

He did not act guilty, but not very broken up over her death either. But you saw a hint of the temper from Alison’s apartment. I recall thinking that guy is volatile. I watched it again after ep 9 and thought the killer Ben is the real Ben. No nice guy except when he was trying to get in her pants.

I haven’t had the chance to watch the latest episode, but it sounds confusing and downright annoying.

It's actually intriguing, though probably spoiled for you.

I watched 8 and the first part of 9 again last night, and I really don't think Ben did it. He was very calm and seemed dejected both times Cole questioned him. The first time was at the conference and he seemed very sad when he admitted that he and Alison were over. He said they had a fairly peaceful ending that seemed somehow empowering for Alison. I'm wondering if maybe her psychotic break happened after he told her he was married but left his wife....

I love this season! Just binged it. So much better than seasons 2&3.

Poor Luisa.

We already know from the detective that it happened on the night of the storm. Part 2 is consistent w/that weather, not part 1
