I IMMEDIATELY thought that the dad had her killed for her kidney. Like “well she died, so, can i have that kidney now?” But then I realized since she had been dead a couple days, the kidney wouldn’t be viable.
I kind of hope it was a murder not a suicide. That sounds morbid of me. But I don’t know.... as tormented as she was, I just don’t see her doing it. |
| Does anyone else think the young hot neighbor will become pregnant with Vic’s baby? |
I do!! Just finished episode 8 and I HATE that Alison is dead. No way she would have killed herself and left Joanie behind. I'm also obsessed with Joshua Jackson - goodness he is gorgeous! |
| Is there any way she is not dead? Like this is Noah’s next novel or something? I guess I just can’t accept it... |
| Why would Noah kill her?? |
No. Ruth Wilson wanted off the show. I wish they’d written her off some other way. This is just too awful. |
Maybe this is how he gets his material. His last novel was about their affair. That said, I don't think he killed her. He was in LA and her body was found on the east coast, correct? Everyone back home could have motive : Luisa- citizenship - via new mom to Joanie Mother and father - kidney and possibly money off Ben - passion/obsession - possibly hired to kill her Cole's family - money, Lobster Roll, drug business |
I dont think it was Noah, but I love all of these other guesses. |
I wonder if Ben or Luisa didn’t somehow finish her off, like say or do something to send her out in the storm. Or even Cherry, who was such an incredible bitch to her before. |
| I don't think this is any kind of murder mystery thing. I think they were going back to basics with that last scene with Noah in the diner looking at the waitress and remembering meeting Alison. I think Alison's death was to make the point that the affair was wrong and had long term ramifications, including Alison's death. That it was Alison who was the punished party is a total literary trope. It's always the woman who pays for her sexuality never the man. |
well, duh, listen to the words in the opening scene before every episode .. . "back to the sea" |
|
I think Noah and Cole both did well in this. I like that Noah didn't break down until the end.
I am intrigued by the idea of Louisa's motives, though I was definitely suspicious of the father. Why would her mother kill her? |
|
I also love Joshua Jackson. Its not really about him being sexy, but about him just being so lovely all round.
Also I found it odd that they were so happy to help each other given Noah did 3 years in jail for the automobile death of Cole's brother, Scotty (yes I know he didn't actually kill him)... I think Ruth Wilson had so little to do anymore and obviously opted out of nudity that she is just done with this show and had to get out somehow. |
I think it was a mistake to leave before the final season. So many actors/actresses think they’ll go onto bigger and better things and they never do. I do wonder if there’s any truth to this rumor that it was more pay related. Either that, she thought she’d go out with a bang. https://www.newsweek.com/ruth-wilsons-character-killed-affair-after-actor-complained-about-unequal-pay-1060787 |
Yes!! Totally thinking that. |
