Well if you recruit + sell lots of Arbonne- You can “earn” a brand-new spanking shiny white Mercedes SUV.

But you will need to keep up your sales.

In some areas it’s definitely a thing. At my child’s ES, all of the “rich” moms (or the ones who want to appear so) drive one of only three cars: Yukon XL (Denali package only), Audi Q7, or Mercedes GLS. And there are only 2 acceptable colors. White or Black.

Where I am, it's black and add the Escalade to that mix. Of course when the next recession hits, a lot of these giant SUVs will go away.

I don't mind the orange but waited for the cool gray khaki to come in stock. It's a great car. I planned on buying used but they were only around $3,000 less so we just bought new

I’m the PP who listed the 3 cars in white or black. I’m in Loudoun County, so definitely the suburbs. And not super wealthy, just well enough. The homes that feed to my ES are $650-$950k.

NP here. I don’t “care” really, but I do generally assume that person is too shallow/status conscious to ever be a close friend of mine. I have lots of acquaintances like this. We run in the same circles (school, sports) and are friendly to each other, but they are not “my people.”
