Seems like there are two different points to this thread.
The first is to make aware of the placement of Islamophobics on the NSC, and how terrible it is that anti-Muslim sentiment seems sanctioned by this WH. But the second parallel is to deny that that there is also a terrible problem with Muslim bigots, which is apparent among European Muslim migrants in particular. So how about if we agree that it is terrible that some people are prejudiced against Muslims, but also acknowledge just now bad bigotry is coming from European Muslims migrants who hail from Muslim-majority countries? I think it's reasonable to be outraged by both. It weakens the argument to express outrage over the first instance and deny the existence of the second. https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2018/04/germany-jews-muslim-migrants/558677/ |
Only the first is an actual point of this thread. The title of the thread is pretty clear and says nothing about Europe. That was brought up by people who share the views of the hate groups and are trying to hijack the discussion. I think there is prejudice and bigotry among many groups in Europe, not just Muslims. If you want to discuss that topic, create a thread on it. Don't hijack this one. |
Highly strange then to use the term no go zone then. Paritucarly when she just mentioned how the state is supposed to have a monopoly on power. The term no go zone has a particular meaning in Europe. Why else might she say that you have to call it by name? Why not just call it a high crime area? I note you did not respond to the head of the Police Unions fears, nor that of the Belgian Interior secretary. |
I can't account for the words Merkel uses and I actually doubt that the term "no- go" has a particular meaning in Europe. This is a term mostly used by American Islamophobes. If there were actual Muslim-controlled areas of Europe, it wouldn't require tea-reading to figure it out. Reporters or individuals could go to those areas and see if they exist or not. As it is, stupid Americans makes fools of themselves using the term and get laughed at by people who actually live in those cities. But, again, this is all an effort to distract from Islamophobes at the highest levels of our government. These people refer to the McCarthy-era witch-hunts for communists approvingly and want to replicate them to weed out Jihadis from the US government. They literally believe that people like Grover Norquist are allied with Jihadists to bring down the US government. You can worry about Eurepean cities all you want, but having people who believe in anti-Muslims conspiracy theories at the top of our government is a much more pressing issue. Why do you insist on changing the subject unless you approve of such people? |
After eight years of seeing the results of the Obama administration policies and the policies of other global leaders, I wholeheartedly approve of such people. It’s pretty clear what the goals of invasion are |
Islamophobes are not welcome here. I suggest you find another website. |
